How to print paper at the right size
The single most common problem with printable paper is a grid that measures wrong. It is almost always the print dialog rather than the file: by default most browsers and PDF readers shrink pages slightly to fit inside the printer’s unprintable margin, which scales your 1/4 inch grid down by a few percent. Set the scale to 100% or “Actual size”, turn off “fit to printable area”, and make sure the paper size you picked here matches the paper in the tray. If your printer cannot print to the very edge, increase the margin setting rather than letting the driver rescale.

US Letter, A4, US Legal, Tabloid, A3 and A5, in portrait or landscape. Choose the size that matches the paper in your tray so the sheet prints at exact scale.
Will the grid print at the exact size I choose?
Yes, provided you print at 100% scale. Every sheet is generated as true vector geometry measured in PostScript points, so a 1/4 inch grid is exactly 1/4 inch. Turn off 'fit to page' in your print dialog, since that rescales the sheet.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. Everything runs in your browser — the preview, the customisation and the PDF are all generated on your own device, and nothing is uploaded to a server.
Can I change the line color and spacing?
Every template lets you set the line color, line weight, margins and paper size, plus options specific to that paper — grid spacing, staff count, ruling, aspect ratio and so on. The preview updates as you change them.
