Row height is the setting that matters
The most common complaint about printed to-do lists is rows too tight to write in. Setting the row height to match your handwriting — rather than cramming in as many rows as possible — is what makes a list usable. A list with fifteen comfortable rows gets used; one with thirty cramped ones gets abandoned after four entries.
The priority marker
Turning on the priority column adds a small circle before each line, for a letter or number ranking. It's a lightweight way to apply an A/B/C or 1/2/3 scheme without a separate column of boxes, and it keeps the important-versus-urgent distinction visible directly on the list rather than only in your head.
One column or two
A single column gives long lines for detailed task descriptions. Two columns fit roughly twice as many items with shorter lines — better for shopping lists, packing lists and quick errand runs where each item is only a word or two. Two columns in landscape orientation makes an effective daily task sheet.

How many items fit on a printable to-do list?
It depends on row height and columns — roughly 25–30 single-column rows at the default height on US Letter, or double that in two columns. Increase the row height for fewer, roomier rows.
Can I get round checkboxes instead of squares?
Yes, the box style is a toggle between square and circular. Circles are common in bullet-journal styles; squares are the traditional checklist form.
What is the priority column for?

Printing Tips
- Print at 100% scale.Turn off “fit to page” and “shrink oversized pages” — otherwise your printer rescales the sheet and the measurements no longer match.
- Match the paper size. Choose the same size here as the paper in your tray. Printing a Letter PDF on A4 (or the reverse) scales it.
- Lighter lines print better. A light grey or blue guides your work without competing with it — and it uses far less ink.
- Use heavier paper for wet media. 100gsm and up for fountain pens and markers; standard copier paper is fine for pencil.
