Strands-Style Unlimited is a free, endless version of the themed word-search game. Each board hides a set of theme words and one spangram that spans the grid. Find them all, then start a new board instantly — no daily limit, no download, no app. Ads never interrupt a game in progress; an optional ad for a hint plays only if you ask for one.

How to play Strands-Style Unlimited

Every letter on the 6×8 board belongs to exactly one answer, and every answer fits the theme clue above the board. Drag across touching letters to trace a word, or tap the letters one by one and tap the last letter again to submit.

  • Letters connect in any direction: across, down and diagonally.
  • Theme words turn blue when you find them.
  • The spangram names the theme, touches two opposite sides and turns yellow.
  • Fill every tile to finish the board, then hit New puzzle.

Stuck? Use a hint

The Hint button rings the first letter of a theme word you haven't found yet. Hints are unlimited and the round result counts them, so you can try the next board with fewer. Brainstorm words that fit the clue first, then scan the edges for a long word: the spangram always touches two opposite sides.

Why play Strands unlimited?

The official puzzle is one board a day. Unlimited mode lifts the cap: play one theme on a coffee break or ten in a row, from breakfast foods to pirate ships. These boards are separate from our daily puzzle, so playing here never spoils it. Prefer one board a day with a streak? Play the daily Strands-style puzzle, and if you get stuck on it, today's Strands hints and answers are one tap away.

Is Strands-Style Unlimited free?

Yes. Every board is free to play instantly, with no download. The site is ad-supported. Ads never interrupt a game in progress; an optional ad for a hint plays only if you ask for one. You can remove ads entirely with the Player Club ($3.99/mo), a $2.99 Day Pass or a Plus plan. Your round count stays on your device.
