Questions

What teachers ask before they print

Are the teacher tools on PuzzlePage really free?

Yes. Every maker on this page (answer sheets, quizzes, exit tickets, word searches, crosswords, flash cards, name tags, parent letters and reference sheets) is free to use and print, in every template, size and format. The one exception is the Worksheet Builder: building and previewing a mixed page is free, and the PDF comes with a $2.99 day pass or a Plus plan.

What is the small QR code in the corner of the page?

Free PDFs carry a small QR code and a one-line credit in the corner. It is how teachers find the makers, and it is the only thing the free tier asks of you. A $2.99 day pass or any Plus plan removes it and adds your own fonts, colours and a running header.

Do you store the student names I type in?

No. Names are laid out in your browser for the preview and sent to our server only to be rendered into the PDF that comes straight back to you. They are not saved, not logged, and never reach analytics. The schools page has the full privacy answers for your district.

Will it print properly on the school copier?

Yes. Everything downloads as a print-ready PDF in US Letter or A4, black-and-white friendly, with cut guides where pages get cut apart. Flash card backs are mirrored so double-sided copies line up.

Do I need a Canva account or any other app?

No. These are generators, not templates. You paste a class list or a word list and the file is built around it. Nothing to drag into place, and it works again next year on next year's list.

What are the printable packs, and what do they cost?

Packs are the same makers run ahead of time and organised into a binder you can photocopy from, for the week you have no evenings. They run $3.50 to $5.99; the First-Week Vault is $13.99 and the Whole-Year Vault is $19.99. Every pack has several complete free sample pages on its own page, so you can print one before you decide.

What does the licence allow?

Print as many copies as you like, for every class you teach, for as many years as you teach them. It does not cover reselling the files or passing them to colleagues. Please send colleagues here instead; that is what keeps the makers free.
