Queens Unlimited is a free, endless version of the Queens logic puzzle. Each board is an N×N grid split into N coloured regions. Put one queen in every row, every column and every region, and keep queens from touching, even at the corners. Every board has exactly one solution and never needs a guess. When you finish, start a new one instantly. Ads never appear mid-game.

How to play Queens

  1. 1Read the regions. An N×N board is split into N coloured regions. Each region needs exactly one queen.
  2. 2Place a queen. Tap a cell once to place a queen. Each row, column and region takes exactly one.
  3. 3Mark the dead cells. Tap again to drop a dot where a queen can't go, such as the eight cells around a queen. Tap a third time to clear.
  4. 4Finish the board. When every row, column and region has its queen and none touch, the puzzle is solved. Press New puzzle for another.

Three sizes: Easy is 6×6, Medium 8×8 and Hard 10×10. The clock starts with each board; pause it any time.

Queens strategy tips

  • Start with the smallest region. A region of one or two cells leaves almost no choice.
  • Regions stuck in one row own it. If a region sits entirely in one row or column, no other queen can use that line, so dot out the rest of it.
  • Dot around every queen. The eight touching cells, its row and its column are all dead. Marking them makes the next forced cell jump out.
  • Count regions against rows. If two regions fit inside the same two rows, those rows belong to them, and every other cell in those rows is out.
