Why undated is more useful
A dated calendar is obsolete the moment the month ends. This grid stays blank, so you fill in the dates for whichever month you need — including months well into the future, or non-calendar cycles like a school term, a training block or a project sprint. One printout, reused indefinitely.
Week start and row count
Monday start is the ISO standard and usual across most of Europe and in business contexts; Sunday start is the US convention. Row count matters more than people expect: a month needs five rows normally, but six whenever the first day falls late in the week and the month is long. Set six if you want a template guaranteed to fit any month.
The date corner boxes
The small ruled corner in each cell separates the date number from the content. Without it, handwritten dates get lost among the entries and the calendar becomes hard to scan. It's a small thing that makes a filled-in month noticeably more readable — and it can be switched off for a completely plain grid.

Is this calendar for a specific month or year?
Neither — it's completely blank and undated. You write in the month name and the date numbers, so a single printout works for any month of any year.
How many week rows should I use?
Five covers most months. Use six if you want a template that fits every possible month, including those that span six calendar weeks.
Can I start the week on Sunday?
Yes — switch the week start between Monday (the ISO standard, common in Europe) and Sunday (the usual US convention).

Printing Tips
- Print at 100% scale.Turn off “fit to page” and “shrink oversized pages” — otherwise your printer rescales the sheet and the measurements no longer match.
- Match the paper size. Choose the same size here as the paper in your tray. Printing a Letter PDF on A4 (or the reverse) scales it.
- Lighter lines print better. A light grey or blue guides your work without competing with it — and it uses far less ink.
- Use heavier paper for wet media. 100gsm and up for fountain pens and markers; standard copier paper is fine for pencil.
