Set the day to your actual day
Most printed planners assume a 9-to-5 and waste half the page on hours you don't use. Setting the start and end hour yourself means the whole sheet covers time you actually schedule — a 6am start for early risers, an 11pm end for shift work or students. The rows expand to fill the page regardless of range, so a short day gives generous rows rather than a half-empty sheet.
Half-hour slots
Half-hour rows suit days built from meetings and appointments, where a lot happens in 30-minute blocks. Full-hour rows give twice the writing space per hour and suit deep, focused work where you're blocking longer periods. The distinction matters: too fine a grid on a focused day makes the page look busier than the day actually is.
12 or 24 hour
The clock format is a straightforward preference — 12 hour with AM/PM for US convention, 24 hour for most of the rest of the world and for anyone working in medicine, aviation, logistics or the military, where 24-hour time is standard and removes any ambiguity around midday and midnight.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the hours on the daily planner?
Yes — set any start and end hour from 0 to 24. The rows resize to fill the page, so a shorter day simply gives you taller, roomier rows.
Does it have half-hour time slots?
It can. Turn half-hours on for appointment-heavy days, or leave them off for full-hour rows with more writing space each.
Is the daily planner dated?
No, it's undated with a blank date line at the top. Print a stack and use them whenever you need them.
Can I get 24 hour time?
Yes — switch the clock to 24 hour and times print as 07:00, 13:00 and so on instead of 7 AM and 1 PM.
Printing Tips
- Print at 100% scale.Turn off “fit to page” and “shrink oversized pages” — otherwise your printer rescales the sheet and the measurements no longer match.
- Match the paper size. Choose the same size here as the paper in your tray. Printing a Letter PDF on A4 (or the reverse) scales it.
- Lighter lines print better. A light grey or blue guides your work without competing with it — and it uses far less ink.
- Use heavier paper for wet media. 100gsm and up for fountain pens and markers; standard copier paper is fine for pencil.
