How to use the Wheel of Life

Rate each area from 1 (very dissatisfied) to 10 (fully satisfied), mark the score on its spoke, then join the marks. A balanced life makes a round wheel; a dent shows where attention would help most. Coaches often ask clients to repeat it every few months and compare the shapes.

The eight areas

The common version uses Career, Finances, Health, Family & Friends, Romance, Personal Growth, Fun & Recreation and Home & Environment. Many coaches swap in their own — Spirituality, Contribution, Learning — and you can type any list of three to twelve areas to make the wheel yours.

Beyond life coaching

The same chart works as a skills wheel for performance reviews, a fitness wheel (strength, endurance, flexibility…), a student self-assessment across subjects, or a team health check. Presets cover the popular ones, and the AI helper can suggest spokes for any subject.
