Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from Plus?
Plus ($6.99/mo or $69/yr) is for teachers and families using the single-puzzle generators. The Publisher and Pro plans are for sellers: they add the KDP Book Builder (complete print-ready interiors up to 120 puzzles with packed answer keys) and include every Plus feature. Plus and the day pass do not unlock the Book Builder.
Is there a free trial?
No. Plans start with the first paid month (or year), and there are no free builds. The single-puzzle generators remain free forever, so you can evaluate puzzle quality before subscribing.
Can I sell the books on Amazon KDP?
Yes. Every interior comes with a full commercial license: publish on KDP, Etsy, or anywhere else, with no royalties owed and no attribution required. See the license page for the plain-English terms.
What are the daily build limits?
Publisher includes 15 book builds per day and Pro includes 40 — generous for a human publisher iterating on real books, and deliberately hostile to bots. Limits reset automatically every 24 hours.
What are AI credits and what do they buy?
AI credits are in beta. Publisher includes 150 a month and Pro includes 400; the allowance resets on the 1st. Text tasks cost 1 credit: plan a whole book from one paragraph, fill a section with themed word lists or quotes, write the back cover, write an artwork prompt, or write the KDP listing (title, subtitle, 7 keywords, categories and description). Standard cover artwork costs 10 credits. Premium 4K artwork or restyling your own photo costs 20 credits and is a Pro feature — Publisher gets 2 a month to try it, then it is standard artwork until the 1st. Top-ups are 150 credits for $5.99, 500 for $12.99 and 1,000 for $24.99, and purchased credits never expire.
Can I design the cover here?
Yes, in beta, on both Publisher and Pro. The Cover Studio inside the Book Studio produces a full-wrap paperback cover PDF at the exact KDP size (spine sized from your real page count, with bleed, safe areas and the barcode zone kept clear), a 1600×2560 ebook cover JPG and a proof JPG. Choose from 32 cover styles, 35 free royalty-free backgrounds or a starter cover on any of the 37 book templates, then drag the title, badge and picture where you want them. Cover text is always typeset, never painted, so titles are spelled right.
What happens if an AI generation fails?
The credits are refunded automatically. You only pay credits for artwork or text that actually arrives. The AI features are in beta, so if something fails repeatedly please report it; every report is read by a person.
