How to build your KDP book outline and edit individual puzzles

Episode 7: build the outline to see your real printed pages, flip through spreads, open any puzzle to retitle it, change its difficulty or words, and lock it so rebuilds keep it.

Step by step

  1. 1Click Build outline — in a few seconds the centre shows your real, numbered printed pages.
  2. 2Flip through the spreads with the arrows.
  3. 3Free users see and can edit the first 6 puzzles; the Publisher plan shows the whole book.
  4. 4Click any row in the Outline to open that puzzle beside its page.
  5. 5Give it a Page title and change Difficulty for this puzzle — only that page changes.
  6. 6Edit the words under Content on this page, then click Apply to this page.
  7. 7Click Lock to keep this exact page through every rebuild.
  8. 8After changing a section, Rebuild outline keeps your locks and edits; Reroll unlocked gives fresh puzzles to everything else.
