Tips for learning multiplication facts 0–12
- Turnarounds halve the work: 7 × 8 and 8 × 7 are both 56, so the 169 cards hold 91 different pairs of numbers.
- Learn the easy tables first — 0, 1, 2, 10, 5 and 9 — and most of the harder tables are already done by turnaround.
- Print one table at a time from its own page when the whole deck is too much at once.
How many pages the 169 cards print on
The answers print on the back. The PDF puts an answer page straight after each page of questions, so printed double-sided, each sheet of paper has questions on one side and their answers on the other.

Printing the answers on the back
- Open the print dialog and turn on two-sided (duplex) printing.
- Choose flip on long edge (sometimes called long-edge binding). The pages are portrait, and each answer page reverses the order of every row, so the answer to the top-left card prints behind the top-left card.
- Don’t pick “flip on short edge” — it puts the answers behind the wrong cards.
- Print the first sheet, hold it up to a window to check, then print the rest and cut.
No duplex printer? Turn the answer backs off in the maker and print fronts only, or print the odd pages, put the stack back in the tray, and print the even pages. Printers feed differently, so test with one sheet first.

169: 13 tables (0 through 12), each with 13 facts (× 0 through × 12). Counting 7 × 8 and 8 × 7 as one pair, there are 91 different pairs.
What is the hardest multiplication fact?
Teachers most often name the 7s and 8s — 7 × 8 = 56, 6 × 8 = 48 and 7 × 7 = 49 are the usual trouble spots. They are worth a separate small pile of cards.
Can I print just one times table?
Yes. Each table from 1 to 12 has its own page with its 13 cards, and each one sends just that table to the flash card maker.
How many pages do the multiplication facts 0–12 flash cards print on?
169 cards. At 6 cards per page that is 29 sheets of paper printed double-sided (58 pages in the PDF); at 9 per page it is 19 sheets. Two cards a page makes big cards for the front of the room; nine a page saves paper.
