- About 3.3 million people lived in Utah at the 2020 Census, and Salt Lake City is both the capital and the largest city.
- Utah has five national parks: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Zion.
- The Great Salt Lake is the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere. It is what is left of a giant ancient lake called Lake Bonneville.
- Arches National Park has more than 2,000 natural stone arches, including the famous Delicate Arch.
- Bryce Canyon National Park has more hoodoos, tall rock spires, than any other place on Earth.
- The first railroad across the United States was finished at Promontory Summit, Utah, on May 10, 1869.
- Kings Peak in the Uinta Mountains is the highest point in Utah, at more than 13,500 feet.
