The Worksheet Builder started from the request we hear most often: "Can I put two different puzzles on the same sheet?" Until now the answer was no. Every maker on PuzzlePage printed its own kind of puzzle, and a mixed sheet meant several downloads and a pair of scissors.

What can the Worksheet Builder make?

It makes two kinds of documents: a single sheet that mixes puzzle types, and a multi-page workbook. Both come out as one PDF, with a Name and Date line and the answer key at the back if you want them.

Which puzzle types can I mix?

All 19 printable puzzle types on PuzzlePage can go in any spot on any page. They fall into two groups.

• Word puzzles (your words or a theme)

  Word search, crossword, cryptogram, word scramble, word fill-in and Connections. Pick a theme from our libraries or type your own words, clues, quote or four groups of four.

• Number and logic puzzles (built for you)

  Sudoku, number search, maze, word ladder, nonogram, kakuro, calcudoku, killer sudoku, X-sudoku, star battle, cross math, ripple effect and number loop. Press the shuffle button for a different one.

How do I build my first worksheet?

1. Open the Worksheet Builder, or click Build a worksheet on any puzzle maker.
2. Pick a layout for page 1: 1, 2 or 4 per page.
3. In each spot, choose a puzzle type and a difficulty, and give it a heading.
4. For word puzzles, choose Pick a theme or My words.
5. Add more pages with the Add a page buttons, up to 20 pages.
6. Check the preview, then click Download PDF.

Can I put a word search and a sudoku on the same page?

Yes. In the Worksheet Builder, choose 2 or 4 puzzles per page and set each spot to any of 19 puzzle types. A word search, a sudoku, a cryptogram and a maze can all share one sheet of paper.

How many pages can a worksheet have?

Up to 20 pages and 40 puzzles. Each page can hold 1, 2 or 4 puzzles, and pages can mix layouts, so a packet can open with a four-puzzle warm-up page and follow it with full-page puzzles.

Is the Worksheet Builder free?
