A screen-free challenge for the break

Send it home before winter break, or stick it on the fridge. Kids cross off a square for every activity they do: bake cookies, build a blanket fort, call a grandparent, visit the library, cut a paper snowflake. It's a gentle nudge away from screens without a lot of rules, and most activities use things you already have at home.

Make it fit your family or class

Only two squares need snow (Build a snowman and Make a snow angel), so delete them if you live somewhere warm. Set a goal, like one line by New Year's Day or a full card by the first day back, and ask kids to bring their cards back to school to share what they did.
