Set the room up as a loop rather than a queue: a START HERE sign by the door, SIGN IN HERE on the first table, and the rest around the walls. The signs are set as large as the words allow so they read from across a room, which is the only test that matters for a sign.

There are only two things you genuinely need back the same night — the dismissal form and a current email — and saying that out loud makes the evening calmer for everyone. Everything else can come back in the morning with a child.

Which forms do I actually need for back-to-school night?
Five: a sign-in sheet, a dismissal and transportation form, a volunteer sign-up, a parent survey, and a welcome letter with a tear-off strip that gets you a current phone number and email. All five are in this kit, along with three more that are useful the same week.
Can I type my name into the forms?

Is it black and white?
It prints perfectly in black and white — one accent colour, no clipart, no background flood. The signs are just as readable in mono, which matters because they are the pages most likely to be run off on a school copier at 4pm.
