Tips for learning addition facts 0–10
- Turnarounds: 3 + 5 and 5 + 3 are both 8, so once one is learned the other comes free.
- Make-ten pairs are the backbone: 1 + 9, 2 + 8, 3 + 7, 4 + 6, 5 + 5.
- Count on from the bigger number: for 2 + 7, start at 7 and count 8, 9.

Printing the answers on the back
- Open the print dialog and turn on two-sided (duplex) printing.
- Choose flip on long edge (sometimes called long-edge binding). The pages are portrait, and each answer page reverses the order of every row, so the answer to the top-left card prints behind the top-left card.
- Don’t pick “flip on short edge” — it puts the answers behind the wrong cards.
- Print the first sheet, hold it up to a window to check, then print the rest and cut.
No duplex printer? Turn the answer backs off in the maker and print fronts only, or print the odd pages, put the stack back in the tray, and print the even pages. Printers feed differently, so test with one sheet first.
